
The Walton County Amateur Radio Club is comprised of ham radio operators in Walton County, Florida, USA and surrounding areas.
Our members are located in Freeport, DeFuniak Springs, Sandestin, Paxton, and the smaller coastal communities, rural communities, and rural areas of Northwest Florida. We are still a growing club and our slate of activities is also growing!
WCARC is proud to support the efforts of ARES, CERT, SKYWARN, and other programs and services provided to our communities as a public service by licensed amateur radio operators.
The repeater owned and operated by WCARC is: - WF4X repeater on 147.285+ MHz (Tone access 100.0 Hz)
This repeater is located in Walton County, Florida, USA It is open and all licensed ham radio operators are welcome to use it.
Monthly meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month and are held at the Freeport Fire Rescue, 100 Washington Street, Freeport, Florida 32439-3505. The informal part of the meeting will start at 7PM, with the business meeting starting at 7:30PM
